Bill Bensing Will Hold an Exciting Workshop at QED 2025

What if governance could be…dare we say it… enjoyable?  What if it could be less about spreadsheets and suspicion, and more about collaboration and common sense?  What if you didn’t need a black belt in bureaucracy or a coder’s mindset to participate?

At this year’s QED, Bill Bensing will host a workshop titled “UNcomplexing the Matrix: Brenda’s BYOB Workshop for Governance Engineers (Bring Your Own Blueprint!)”. But this ain’t no sit-and-listen workshop. This is a hands-on, minds-on, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-UNcomplex-the-heck-out-of-your-org experience.

We’ll equip you with Brenda’s secret weapons: the Attestify Combined Assurance Model™ (a powerful, yet simple, framework that connects the dots between policies, risks, and controls) and the Attestify Assurance Blueprints™ (paper-based tools that make risk assessment and control design as easy as drawing stick figures…but with bigger implications).

Think of it as governance meets arts and crafts, with a side of collaborative chaos.  You’ll team up with fellow Governance Engineers, map out your organization’s risk landscape, and design a streamlined governance system that would make even the most hardened auditor crack a smile.

No prior experience with audits, acronyms, red pills, kung fu, or corporate jiu-jitsu is required.  Just bring your brain, your sense of humor, and a willingness to change the conventional.

Let’s reimagine the rulebook, infusing it with the true spirit of governance, audit, assurance, and compliance. We’ll unlock the power of these essential practices while ditching the outdated approaches (and maybe a few dusty spreadsheets) that stifle creativity and collaboration.

(Hint: It involves colorful markers, big ideas, and a healthy dose of rebellious spirit.)

Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of the next QED!
